Molten Lava Cakes Recipe!

These past two weeks I made molten lava cakes two ways: Nutella and Oreo!

It’s super simple to make and I’m sure you’d love this recipe too! This makes 4 lava cakes!

Ingredients for Nutella Lava Cake:

  • 1/3 cup Nutella
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup confectioner sugar
  • 2 eggs, 1 egg yolk  = 3 eggs total
  • 1/2 stick or 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter (you can omit this if you want – like I did with the Oreo version)
  • Your favorite ice cream

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Ingredients for Oreo Lava Cake

  • 1/3 cup Cookies & Cream Cookie Butter (from Trader Joe’s)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup confectioner sugar
  • 7 Oreo cookies (just the cookies not the creme and grinded)
  • 2 eggs, 1 egg yolk  = 3 eggs total
  • Your favorite ice cream

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

How to Make It:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Farenheit.
  2. Butter the ramekins.
  3. Mix all ingredients in the bowl (except for the ICE CREAM!). Dry ingredients first, then add the nutella and eggs last.
  4. Portion the mixture into the ramekins.
  5. Bake it for 10-12 minutes (until you see the top becoming cooked, shiny – for me, until I start smelling the baked cake)
  6. Remove the ramekins from the oven. Let it rest & cool down for 2 minutes. (AHH THE WAIT)
  7. With protected hands, flip over the ramekins into a plate (unless you just want to eat it from the ramekins).
  8. Top it with your favorite ice cream!

Very quick, simple, sweet and amazing! To those who have tried it, it’s definitely a big hit for my family and friends.

Happy baking!

Trying to make more cooking videos, but they take some time. Hopefully some of my friends can help me out with this. For now check out my other posts about food & photography. Definitely going to try and make some travel plans soon, just don’t know where yet. I still need to review about my Miami Spice experience and my first months at my job! Ahh so much to write about.
