Hi! I know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged, so here we go!
Trying to do more personal and creative projects to express some emotions and to share what I love to do – hanging out with my friends. I also wanted to see how much I’ve grown and how much I’m still growing in the world of videography and photography.
VIDEOGRAPHY – MAKING OF W O N D E R
When I was starting the edits, I wanted those slow R&B, bass hitting, let-the-beat-drop music, like the ones I see all the time. And then I realize that there was something wrong with that statement, “like the ones I see all the time.” And as a “creative”, I realized a huge mistake in the way I was thinking. So, I deleted all possible music I wanted to try and really focused on how I felt yesterday with my friends… and the editing came easy and it very much felt like this is the type of work I want to create & share. The editing reminded me when I made my videos CHOOSE COURAGE and ORDx2017.
And to all those who are starting out in the creative field (maybe you’ve purchased that sweet camera) and want to learn more, it’s definitely ok to experiment and gain inspiration from others! I definitely looked up to many and continue to seek guidance within Made With Vadela & Thirdre3l Cinema . But personally for me (6 years of photography, 1.5 years of videography), I know I got to step it up and learn to speak in my own voice and create art that resembles who I am.
I’m definitely getting a sense of my artistic style and really embracing how I felt and what story I want to tell from my colors and audio/music choices. I’m very much proud of this short and sweet film I’ve made.
Here’s a cine-recap of our trip to Wonderworks!

Definitely feeling the arcade/neon vibes yesterday night at Wonderworks! I’ve been getting a lot of questions in the lines of “I want to do what you do, how did you get started?”.
I want to say to get started is knowing and using your gear! Find inspiration within your friends or your families!
“How do I start editing? Do you use Lightroom?”
Your phone can be a great tool in taking and editing photos! All of these shots from yesterday were used editing on VSCO app! Yes, it’s that easy! Of course you can use Lightroom, but an easy way of learning exposure, shadows, saturation, tone is by using the very device you use every minute of your everyday!
Here are my edits from yesterday!
And that’s about it! Happy Kodak-moment-making!
Thanks to Tammilou, Lady, Ron Daniel, Ron Miguel, Ros Gabriel and Jill for a great night yesterday!
